Hey guys.
Saturday We will be moving to the USA. I will live in Texarkana. The city is half in Texas and half in Arkansas, divided by the 71. I will live there because last year I got a few job offers around that region, and I started the huge amount of paperwork so I could have my Physical Therapy license there. The most boring step is done - the equivalency of my diploma, but since in the USA you gotta do general education (pre-courses) before your professional education (what you chose to be), and in Brazil we don't have that (we jump from high school to college), I will have to do the damned 30 credits of general education that I lack according to ICD's equivalency (boring stuff like chemistry, physics AGAIN!), and its just 30 I know, but that sucks anyway... When I finish that (next July - yeah its sucks), I will have my diploma equivalency report updated and then I can go with the Board of PT so I can make the NPTE and have my license. That last part is fast. And once I have that, in July/August of next year I can work. Marcelo (my husband) will do his step 1 and 2 of the USMLE so he can enter the Residency there (he wants surgery).
So Saturday at 6 am we will flight up there, from Guadalajara where we live now, to Texarkana, and we will look for apartments during next week, and once I rent a place I will send emails to you guys with phone number, address, etc..
Tomorrow, Friday, the moving company dudes are coming here to pack everything and take it, they take 2 weeks to deliver our stuff, cause of the US Customs. and so we will stay in a Hotel for like 5 days until we get a place (I already have some to see, I called from here to ask for the features etc, and so I narrowed down the ones that we wanna see). The classes will start on September 4Th, and so we wanna do this before it starts, cause of all the mess moving can make...
Anyway, since I wont have my baby (My PC) with me for like 2 weeks, I will go to a cyber cafe or something to check my emails, so if you write me I will get back to you.
Marcelo lives in Mexico about 10 years, I live here for 3 (in Guadalajara), we knew we were gonna do this for a long time (5 years), and so the time has come. Marcelo finished everything here and now we are free to go. Wish us luck.
See you guys in about 2 or 3 weeks.
